BOM to component matching flow
The workflow starts with a BOM upload, detects common MPN, manufacturer, quantity, package, and description columns, then normalizes component quote data through a standardized ComponentData interface.
Matching is catalog-independent. The ranking engine evaluates exact MPN, manufacturer plus MPN, description plus package, price, stock, MOQ, lead time, and Omini supply fit before selecting the recommended part.
- Upload to parse BOM lines and quantities.
- Match against Omini-managed component availability where available.
- Review stock, unit price, MOQ, lead time, datasheet, alternatives, and match reason.
- Calculate component cost now, with PCB and SMT cost modules reserved for later expansion.
What the quote includes
The first version calculates component cost from selected parts and build quantity. PCB fabrication, SMT assembly, inspection, programming, test, packing, and delivery costs remain reserved modules because those assumptions require board files and manufacturing review.
For a final PCBA quote, send the selected BOM result with Gerber or ODB++, centroid data, assembly drawings, quantity, target schedule, test scope, and acceptance criteria.
